 Races\: The CUP format follows the IVF guidelines for continental competitions.<br />
 6 to 8 paddler teams compete in 4 events\:<br />
 - short distance races\: V1 2000m\, V2  2000m\;<br />
 - V1R/ V1 Long distance (10 km) open to any type of one person canoes\;<br />
 - V6 iron long distance (28 km) along Rio de Janeiro&#8217\;s famous beaches\: Copacabana\, Arpoador\, Ipanema\, Leblon and around Suggar Loaf and into Guanabara Bay.<br />
