I like my Kodak Play Sport High Definition video camera. It comes with its own HDMI cord that plugs into the tv for playback at 1/16, 1/4 and 1/2 speeds on wide screen. It also comes with its own wrist strap and float and works fine with an 8gb SD card. Mount wherever using plastic electrical tiedowns. For under $120 at Sam's Club.

Wife wanted to set camera up ... This is what came up with 10 minutes before she left for practice.

Set up the Sanyo Xacti WP on the rear iako with a 1.25" X 4" piece of plastic cutting board with countersunk 1/4 X 20 bolt. 2X 1.5 x 4.25" slices of yoga mat to interface with the curved iako ... Taped on ...

Worked perfect.

Would probably use HD pvc pipe for more secure fit if I had the choice.

If starting over, would get the Go Pro for this kind of stuff.

P.S. Lots of cameras have the 1/4" x 20 threaded recess. Be careful not to overtighten the bolt into camera. Use a locknut + small washer to snug up your mounting bolt.

The GoPro HD is deffinately the best bang for the buck. Get the anti fog inserts though. the waterproof housing fogs up without them. I love mine, and they're working on an expansion for 3D filming. This camera is sweet.

Spear, not having a Go Pro myself, I picked this up over the summer.. works on the OC-1 and the SUP with a waterproof Canon Optio 10MP.. easily mounts on the side of the canoe or the deck. ~$45.00 in Canada.

I found this belt-mounted flash light holder and stuck a GoPro mount to it, and it fits perfectly on the handle of an outrigger blade!

Turns out the spare blade behind seat six actually has pretty nice view of the action,
