oc2 cover and racks (for F150 and also for a vw rabbit) needed

Just bought an OC2 and need a cover
Looking for truck racks for '98 Ford 3 door F150 Titan VS
and also for my '07 2door VW Rabbit
Are generic brands ok (especially the company on alakawa st that advertises on craigslist) or should I get yakima or thule?
