The East Hawaii Challenge was held today under drizzly skies in Hilo. The race started at Richardson's Ocean park and finished at Hilo Bayfront where the Big Island Interscholastic Federation Championship race was also being held, which made for a busy day on Hilo Bay.

Results of today's 13th Annual Abbott Galaher SeaMan Race, for OC-1, OC-2, Surfski and Paddleboards, held at Keauhou Bay.
The original 3 and 5 mile courses, billed as I Ke Halawai - I Mua, I Hope, run straight out towards the horizon and back. Today's course was affected by a strong south-bound current as well as choppy seas, the result of yesterday's storm, and the 70 paddlers who braved the course found themselves (as well as the turnaround boats) affected by the conditions.

Hawaii Island Paddlesports Assn 2010 Championship Race sponsored by Steinlager and Keoua Canoe Club.
The 2010 edition of H.I.P.A.'s championship race was held in Honaunau and Hosted by Keoua Canoe Club on a hot calm day with strong ocean currents working against the paddlers. The Junior, Short and long course races all ran north from Honaunau. Mahalo to the members of Keoua Canoe club and Steinlager beer.
The final point standing of the Steinlager point series championship will be available on or about April 1st.

The 17th annual Kohala Coast Challenge was held in South Kohala on a windy day. the event was sponsored by Steinalger Beer and the Akau `Ohana. The long course was 8 miles, the short course was 6 miles and he junior and paddleboard races were 3 miles.
