Niumalu Canoe Club

Description

Niumalu Canoe Club is located on the beach directly fronting Duke’s Restaurant and Kauai Beach Boys service stand. Our canoes line the beach, to the right is Pine Tree Inn, the local hang out, and our canoe hale which is under construction.
The men practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. til dark; they are coached by Peter Chow and Kenny Denton and are presently filling 3 canoes .
Women practice on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m. til dark; they are coached by Arthur “Atta” Chow Sr. They are also filling three canoes.
Finally, the Na Opio or youth, practice Tuesdays and Thursdays at four clock. They are coached by Teo Chow and his assistant Chelsea Pabo. The kids have been running four canoes during their practices.

Hanalei Canoe club wants your old OC-1

Item Description

Hanalei Canoe Club is looking for used OC-1's and OC-2's in decent condition for team and youth program training. Ideally we are seeking donations. HCC is a registered nonprofit so anyone wishing to donate a boat would be eligible for a charitable tax deduction. We do however have a small procurement budget set aside if donation is not possible.
