Storing OC-1 in small garage, solutions?
Garage is about 1', or so, too short for the OC-1. Means, I need to hang the canoe on the wall at an angle. I'm thinking one of those pipe things sticking out, cover with foam, staggered, then strap the canoe face down, so it doesn't slip and slide...?? No? Yeah? What do you think? Anyone have ideas or solutions to this? (Apartment living, gotta make it work!)

If you are on the mainland USA (lower 48), please send me any details you may have on available USED OC1s. I already know what is available NEW and I am making one last nationwide search before I commit to one or the other. MUST PADDLE!! I am 5'5", if that matters (I think for some canoes, it does). I am in Texas, and as long as there is a road to drive to and back, it won't matter where you are. Although closer it better, I am prepared for a trek to the East or West Coast. I've been all over the web looking, but who knows - maybe you know someone who knows someone who... you get the idea. Look forward to hearing from you, mahalos!

Spring Break Clinic??
Hello, would anybody know of a warm enough location where we can have family of 5 paddlers (2 adults, 4 strong paddlers, 1 novice) spend Spring Break (last week of March) taking a good Outrigger Canoe and/or surf ski paddling clinic or program tailored to us? Huki/ScorpiusXM/Storm
I am a 6'1" 200 lb guy and I have been looking at various OC1. Since I am on the east coast of the US I don't have the ability to test the different manufactures out there and wanted to get some thoughts on the three I have narrowed my list down to. My list is the Huki VX-1, Scorpius XM, and the Storm. In looking at the race results for various races I see the Scorpius XM but I don't see the Storm or the Huki. I realize the Storm is new so I can understand why it has not shown up in the race results. Wondering about how durable it is being so light and if it is beyond my skill level.
