I would be interested to know what canoe Manny used.

Watched this months Ocean Paddler TV again which showed highlights and interviews from the Olukai Race.
Looks like Manny was using a Pueo as he has been using the last few races of the OC-1 season.

Kelly Stevens, or Keli as the paddle community knows her, is one dynamic individual. Straight up, this former Olympic runner, retailer, mother of six, and current Outrigger champion is no slouch travel insurance. In 2008 Kelly opened Keli’s Outrigger and Paddle Sports, the first shop of its kind in Dana Point, CA. Now in its second year, this full service paddle sports shop is quickly becoming a local fixture and with Stevens at the helm there is little doubt that the shop will continue to find success and help take the sport of paddling to the next level. However, what truly separates Keli’s from the rest is the feeling of Ohana one gets when they are in the shop or hanging with Kelly. Keli’s is all about the paddle family. I caught up with Kelly at her shop after a morning workout on her OC1 in route to her next physical trial, the 37-mile Kaua’i World Challenge…
Well, I got into outrigger paddling in 2000 just to get on the water. With six kids I kind of, you know, wanted to get some time for myself. So I got into outrigger paddling to balance myself out from running mortgage calculator. My lower body was a lot stronger then my upper body. Of course I got hooked on Outrigger paddling and really enjoyed it. True to form, I got very competitive and eventually started to win Masters events with my team.
Oh yeah! I was born and raised in Laguna Beach and I was a beach lifeguard for six years. I’ve always surfed, since I was eight, with a lot of the legends, Corky Carrol, Larry Bertleman, those guys.
When you started up with Outrigger was it something you were doing for fun or were your intentions more competitive health insurance?
I always thought, “Wow, there isn’t an outrigger store anywhere.” I thought about it for a couple years and decided I’d really like to open a store and promote the sport of outrigger to an Olympic sport. It is getting more and more popular and I’d like to see it make jump to the Olympics real estate.

That’s a good question. Probably The Runaways was a bit harder, because it was recreating real people, icons. It was hard to live up to—although Bella is pretty much a teen icon, too baby toddler
