Police set up surveillance on the home and later stopped Pugh and several other people in a car in a nearby alley. Police saw Pugh reaching for a gun under the front passenger seat and immediately detained him. He later admitted to owning the handgun without a license, according to court documents. Pugh has a prior conviction which makes it illegal for him to possess a gun.
