had a very scarey moment on saturday morning. 4 of us were swimming off waikiki around 0900. a number of 6 mans came by to our outside(makai). no big deal we see them and they see us all the time. then an escort boat comes flying by to the 6mans inside (mauka) . we are sure he never saw us, or was even looking at anything other than the canoes. please everyone, be aware that there are others using this big ocean. look around and be aware.had the boat been just a bit closer he wouldve hit us.also boaters need to know that it is a slow no wake zone inside the line from the diamond head buoy to ala wai buoy. i agree swimmers are very hard to see. we wear bright caps and watch for anything bigger than we are, which is everyone. but we need your help also. thanks everyone.
