I'm the novice division coach at Hawaiian Canoe Club, trying to find a seat for two paddlers for Molokai Hoe: Paddler 1: Nov A, Super fit and strong. One of the top 5 guys in our entire mens program as far as fitness goes. Due to work commitments he wasn't fully committed to distance this year and attendance is why he missed making crew. Great attitude, very coachable.
Paddler 2: Nov B. Seat 3 or 4. Big unit, powerful as hell, lots of heart and great attitude, one of the most willing paddlers i've ever coached. Has trained with our club all distance season, paddled Queen Lilo race and all maui distance races except Pailolo. Paddled back from Big Island to Maui with our crews (68 miles). A lil over weight, but he pulls it, slow water changes. Would be an asset for a novice crew or first time channel crew.
