Course:
Long - Start at the windsock fronting Kaimana beach and Outrigger Canoe Club to Kailua Beach Park.
Short: Start at Makai Pier to Kailua Beach park (2 legs - 3 & 4)
Leg 1: Go AROUND Diamond Head Buoy, around the Blinker buoy in Hawaii Kai and 1st change is the bath house. 9.5 MILES
Leg 2: From Hawaii Kai Bath House to Makai Pier 9 MILES
Leg 3: (Start of Short Course) From Makai Pier back outside the jetty, split the Mokulua Islands and in to the Sand Bags. 6.5 MILES
Leg 4: From Sand Bags, split the Mokulua Islands, go around Mokolea Rock (Birdshit) and finish at the north end of Kailua Beach Park. 5 MILES
Divisions & Start Times
All crafts and divisions as per Kanaka Ikaika standards:
Long Course OC-1/Surfski (2 or 4 person relay division), OC-2/SS-2 (4 or 8 person relay division)
Men (19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59) and MIXED: 9:15 am
Women, Juniors and Men 60+: 8:15 am
MIXED: Men start first and do legs 1 and 3
Short Course OC-1, Surfski, V-1, SUP, Prone (2 person relay), OC-2 and SS-2
(4 person relay): 10:30 am
Your division is based on the youngest paddler on your relay team.
Registration: 6:30-8:30 am at Elk’s parking lot. Free Hinano design shirt with registration.
Awards will be held immediately following the race at Kailua Beach Park - North end (behind Kalapawai).
