This year the USCA (U.S. Canoe Association) Nationals will include trial OC-1 Men and OC-1 Women events on Saturday, August 16th 2014 in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania (trial events are run as a test to see if interest is sufficient to create a permanent racing class). Cost will be $30 for the first race, and $10 for any additional races (there are a variety of other canoe and kayak classes that can be raced throughout the weekend, as well as some special events during the week prior). USCA membership is required ($20.00). You must pre-register for each event (by 5:00 pm the day before). I haven't been on this course before, but I understand the water is "rudder friendly". A video overseeing the course is on-line. Naturally, this will be a flat-water race. Come race against some of the best in the country!
