Because of the surf advisory, the short course will do 2 laps on a course straight out of Haleiwa harbor for about 1.2 miles. This will be about a 5 mile course. The long course may do 2 larger laps, taking a right at the short course turn buoy for an unspecified distance. The women may also be required to race with the short course, even if you some women are designated as “long course”. It’s all safety precautions – surf pending.
