Founded in 1908 by Duke Kahanamoku, Knute Cottrell, and Ken Winter. Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole, Harold K. Castle, and Judge William Rawlins were all members. Swimming was the primary activity of the club in the early years. It was based at the Moana Hotel, Waikiki. Favorite pastimes of the club’s members were surfing, canoe paddling, singing and playing music. Now located in Maunalua Bay in Hawaii Kai.
