The Stingray is the most sophisticated and thoroughly tested OC-1 on the market today. It has been honed for top efficiency and performance in all water conditions. The unique "V" strakes in the hull actually plane at higher speeds. The result is less drag and faster performance while surfing. One of the Outrigger Connection test paddlers was quoted as saying "I couldn't determine the maximum speed for this boat. It keeps speeding up once you are on a bump." In flat waters, the Stingray is like a rocket. The "V" strakes along the keel line increase tracking and also provide lift resulting in a very fast hull with minimal wetted surface. The Stingray's ama rides farther forward than most OC-1's, resulting in greater maneuverability.
