1st Place: 2002 (12mix), 2003 (13G), 2004 (14G), 2005 (15G), 2006 (16G)
2nd Place: 2008 (18G)
Paddling has been in my family forever..... I started paddling for Hawaiian Canoe Club when I was 10 years old. I steered my crew my first state championship in 2002 (12mix).. then again in '03, '04, '05 and '06. I never paddled in 2007 then sat 2 for second place in '08. I took the past couple summers off for school.
More people know my mom (Theresa Gerry), dad (Kaipo Haleakala), tutu (Jeanne Gonzales), papa (Billy 'Kalani Kai' Gonzales) or grandpa (Mike Gerry) than me. I'm super proud of my family, hopefully one day I can be as studly as my mom in the boat ;) I'm a full-time college student in Tennessee. I'll graduate with my BS in May 2011 and will return to the ocean and paddling and I'll have to fight against my mom for a seat. :)
And I like food.
