Any OC-1/2 or ski paddlers looking for a long distance challenge should check out the Watertribe Ultramarathon coming up in March. It's 68 miles on Florida's West Coast from St. Petersburg/Ft. Desoto to Placida. Check it out at www.watertribe.com.
2nd Race for the Florida Ocean Paddling Series.
If conditoins are ok for a downwinder the Kanalui Maimi OC club will have a down wind course set up for the race. If there is no wind for the event then a regular 8 to 10 mile course will be set up. Eastern Outrigger is bringing lots of Outrigger Connection canoes to test ride and race at this years Treasure Island Classic.
There will be Fuzes, Fusions and a Stingray2 will be available for a team to race and afterwards to test ride.
Please contact Eastern Outrigger if you have a tandem team and would like to give the Stingray 2 a try.
Speed is important but fun is mandatory.
