RACE 2 - Jericho, January 26, 2008
This race course (12.2 kilometres/7.6 miles) was east from the Jericho pier towards False Creek, turning at the red marker, over to the green marker, west to the first channel marker and back to the pier. Morning conditions were good - light easterly wind, a balmy 3 °C and most importantly - the forecasted snow held off until the afternoon.
Points are awarded based on finishing place in 5 out of 7 races. Full series details available on the Pacific Northwest Outrigger web site.

Results for the race this past Saturday at Lake Union.
The wind really picked up halfway through the race and 4 paddlers had difficulty getting around Gas Works Park. We had a chase boat standing by for those huli and all returned on their own power.
Sorry about the miscommunication for those Paddlers that weren’t on the line and for the Canadian Paddlers that did not get a chance to get to the start on time.
Next race up in Canada!
Mahalo,
Stan Dahlin
