OC - 1 Long Course
The Sunshine State really delivered for the 36 entrants of OC1, OC2, Surfski 1 and 2 man as well as paddleboarders. It was a picture perfect day, 76 deg, sunshine, 10 to 15 knots of Northerly wind. Small shore break and beautiful bump to ride.

Another perfect day on Maui! Big mahalos to our sponsors, Buff Weaver of Leilani’s Island Steakhouse and Wendall DeVera of Tri-Paddle Maui. They styled us out with some hand-carved trophies and provided some ono grinds. Tom Kern of Hammer Nutrition also generously provided everyone with an opportunity at a great prize.

Both the 10 mile long and 6 mile short courses started at Richardson's Park in Keaukaha and finished in front of Puna Canoe Club's halau at Hilo Bayfront. These events were followed by a 3 mile race for the Juniors, several of whom had paddled in the previous 6 mile short course. These kids are amazing!
