Aloha. Although there are still negotiations in progress on some format changes for the Duke Race, we can say that the race from Kailua Beach Park to Anuenue site is on for Sunday August 21, 2011. More to follow on classes and divisions for this race and the traditional iron race. Stay tuned.

OK...Duke Race will remain the same one-day format as past years.
Wahine Iron first thing in the morning, then men's race to town.
16-18 year olds highly encouraged to participate.
Registration information will be available in the upcoming weeks.
Last thing to settle is the Open Class.

After negotiations about the OHCRA rule book, there will not be any Open Class canoes in 2011 Duke Race. Shooting for 2012.

Race director looking for usual race start times of 7:30 wahine and 9:00 men. Tide across Lanikai pretty good +1.2 - +1.4.
