Any new info on the 2009 Huki V1-x for a 210 lb paddler?

I'm considering the boat but concerend that I may be on the high end of the weight range. Not expecting to take it into bigger water.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance,

B

Is this a rudderless outrigger canoe with a sit inside cockpit? I too am interested in a V-1 (Vaa) canoe designed especially for the heavier rudderless paddler.

koa,

E kala mai, the HUKI V1s aren't really V1s - they just call them that... Gotta look somewhere else for find your rudderless.

Huki are great canoes... so are Tigers, they used them in the world sprints in Hilo and Sacramento. both made in Cali. It would be cool to have a Va'a with a ruder option. I put a kicker in our club Va'a today what a difference, man , gave me teeth back,,, my long teeth.

Goto, mahalo for carifiying the V-1.

Now Mulus, go add one pull strap to the kicker and see how she goes? Check out nelo.eu and their fittings.

Contact Jude at Huki.com. He'd be glad to discuss the suitability of the boat for your weight. He's always been very responsive via email.
