Here is the trailer to the new film "Beyond the Reef" the epic tale of the Hawaiian Outrigger Canoe Voyaging Society's paddle of the Hawaiian Archipelago. The release of the film is scheduled to debut at a major film festival early 2009.

Just to clarify, our film is still in the final stages of post-production. We are searching for a suitable home for its world premiere. Sundance would be great, and we will submit. That doesn't mean that it's guaranteed to be shown there.

Just traced this down and wow the best footage of paddling and the drama of it all. Not sure what the plans are for the movie but count me in.
