The Big Boy is ON!!! We hope to see alot of men's crews at Kailua Boat Ramp on the 12th. See koakaicanoeclub.com for details. The after party at Kona Brewing in Hawaii Kai is always fun with lots of great food and beer. REMEMBER TO WERE SHIRT AND SHOES TO THE AFTER PARTY....OH, AND BRING AND ID, YOU GOTTA BE 21 to drink beer!

Will the big swell forecasted to hit on Thurs and remain through the weekend affect the race?

From Pat Caldwell's Forecast:

Outlook through Tuesday Sep 15: the northwest swell arriving Thursday afternoon will create surf near the 15 foot advisory level on north facing shores thurday night through Friday. The swell will shift to the north northwest and remain elevated through early next week.

Nope, we will be racing from the east side to the south side...to bad though, if it was a south swell (which is also expected) it would make for good waves to surf into Hawaii Kai!
