The easiest and cheapest:
Two tiedown straps. Screw the tiedowns to crossbeams at a length that your boat will fit, connect each tiedown so they hang down with a loop and just slide your canoe between them and pull the tiedowns tight to the height you want your canoe to hang. Easy!!

Even cheaper! Hang rope loops from roof joists and use garden hose pieces for the bottom.
