windguru for Saturday 6-7 kt wind from the South/Southeast and no cloud cover. In other words hot, flat, turning kona and no bumps. And you thought Molokai was hard. Take a lot of water if you're going to do this one. I'd rather do yardwork - at least I have some shade.

I'm doing this race and the weather conditions could be worse. Over the shoulder SE for the first half and straight at the back for the second half. Not too bad. Much better than W or NW. I like our chances, Hawaiian Kanaktion 55's.

TC, when I get tired of being dragged around by my lawnmower and am sitting under my plumeria tree sipping an ice cold Corona, I'll think fondly of you and the 5 guys sitting in front of you working very hard to catch whatever ripple you can find. When you got talked in to doing this, didn't you think it would be a downhill sleigh ride instead of a death march?

Actually Tommy- boy is the instigator. Harold Akeo the demon recruiter.

#4 Thu, 10/22/2009 - 6:57am

Tommy's right. Check the format. ANYBODY, even the 55's can win outright.

#5 Thu, 10/22/2009 - 7:03am

Vet, you'll be thinking of them while they are gettin worked in the heat, but im guessing that not many of them will be thinking of you. Way to support the race.

#6 Thu, 10/22/2009 - 8:27am

First to finish gets 3 cases of ice cold corona's and the 55's get a 20 minute head start on the young guys.

#8 Fri, 10/23/2009 - 11:48am

Hey kcs, Because of the conditions as you know, the race was brutal, but you guys got the right idea and organized it really well. Hopefully next year you can realize the potential for a race like this. My suggestion is that you call Uncle Gilbert and inquire about his format idea. Mahalo nui loa, Kenny Bailey
