just curious, what is kupuna for the crossing, is it 60 plus? Medicare is 65 plus Koacanoe but I thought the paddling categories were different, anybody know?
Girliegirl, the rules, as posted on the internet, show that the oldest age groups are 55+ for the Na Wahine, and 60+ for Molokai Hoe. Unfortunately, for both races, the minimum age for race is 18. So a lot of younger Hawaii paddlers are unable to do the race during their prime years while they are away getting an education, and have to postpone doing the race until their mid or late twenties. Perhaps the rules could be changed to allow young paddlers under 18 years old to do the races? I vote for a minimum age of fourteen (14).
Sorry, but, there's no such thing as a "Kapuna" class. Try kupuna.
Yes, I know there is a place called Kapuna Wai Ola out at Kapolei.

C'mon koacanoe. If we DQ'D everyone for bad spelling it would eliminate 70% of the posts on this site.
