Had one mean encounter with some hump backs yesterday going around Makapuu point. Had one pop up 100ft in front of me I went right friend went left. It split between us, only thing was as I sprinted to the right, two more popped up in front of me. So I was stuck between three hump backs that were like 20 ft on either side of me. All this going on while trying to stay on top of my canoe outside the point. Scary stuff, those are big mammals.
