What is the route for the Hawaii Kai Tringle? Distance?

Start on the beach in front of Mashall Rosa's house like most of the Hawaii Kai races. Paddle out towards Portlock Point where they put out a bouy to make the first right turn on. Look for and aim for the water tower on the mountain as a reference point to where the second bouy would be which is usually straight out from the Canoe Halau or there abouts. Right turn on it and head for the blinker light channel marker to make the left and head in towards and under the bridge. Finish at The Shack. Last two races they had a Jetski leading the paddlers out towards each bouy so they had a better line of where to go.
Depending on bouy placements, the course can be anywhere from just under 3 miles or up to 4.5 miles.

3 to 4.5 miles! Now that's more my distance. Looks like a winner. Think so I going chance em, even if no more wind. Sorry KGB, but I not ready for the long course.
