OK, so its not wintertime Maliko, and its standup, but it was partially shot from my canoe, and most important its downwind. Not bad for the middle of the Arizona desert. There's two main runs in the lake, a four miler and a 13 miler.

Rambo,
OCP definitely figures in the jibofo/debmaui story. Its a pretty funny story.

Rambo, The 808propertymanager.com posting started as a "horror story", then Jibofo jumped in and it started to become a "funny story", continuing to meeting at the end of the Na Wahine O Ke Kai; "a love story", it's the "never ending story" a great story...... that all started on OCP!

Yeah, I think that was filmed here. I recognize some of the breaks.

Looks like fun. What board was that?
#9 Wed, 02/24/2010 - 5:42pm
That is a great story and tribute to OC Paddler and the online community. I am very happy for you.
It is especially funny, since when I originally saw your responses to my "808propertymanager" posts--
I thought you were subliminally trying to hit on me-because you were so obsessed ;) with what I wrote.
I guess JiBofo sent some pretty impressive private messages.
Aloha

Jim
Board is a Naish Glide 14' x 27". It goes pretty good but I think it would be even better with less nose rocker and more of a displacement entry like the S.I.C F-16 and F-18.
Rambo
Yeah I'm a chivalrous kind of guy.

Hey, if you have the video please show it ... nice to see the different boards running with at least one constant.
Did you guys ever try out the Hobie 12'6" race board ???
Just wondering.

onno
Didn't have the cameras on the other boards. The Starboard K-15 is real fast in mild conditions but the rounded bottom and soft rails can make it tricky in fun downwind conditions. The Hovie 10'10"is a fun beginners board but way too short and wide for a good downwinder. Haven't been on the Hobie but at the races here it looks very similar to everyone's stock class racer.
