I would not consider these "good pictures" but I posted some here:

The photos are a prologue to the start of the race and captures some of the moments of controlled chaos that took place before the race as waves were breaking on to shore and 87 paddlers finding their escort boats to unload their belongings, escort boats and officials all working in coordination to check paddlers in via the VHF radio and all done perfectly in time for the start of the race at 8AM. Great job to Manny and his PA'A team for a well organized race - awesome turnout as well!
