Wonder if he were on the newer Osprey, would the results still be the same?

Most if not all the ones listed with their canoe model were pre-registered in the first two races. Those that register on race day don't get their canoe model entered as to speed up the registration process and the posting of results.

You can guess which model some of the paddlers use if you've been at previous races. From looking at some of the names, I know there were at least 2 or 3 Scorpius XM's in the first 25 OC-1 paddlers.

Conditions that day warranted a good surfing canoe and or surfing experience. I know I had fun that day.

Wonder if he were on the newer Osprey, would the results still be the same?

It might, but the Osprey (and even the Fuze) isn't really suited for his weight range being the lowest volume canoe(s) they make. He prefers using the Zephyr in most conditions.
