Stolen Paddles

Passing this on from the officers of Na Ohana O Na Hui Wa'a. 17 wood paddles were stolen from Lokahi Canoe Club's practice site this past weekend. The paddles were used by Roosevelt High School's paddling team and have RHS stamped on them. Please contact HPD if someone tries to sell one of these to you. Mahalo.

I am sure a lot of us have noticed a growing homeless encampment at and along the mauka shoreline by the Kapahulu Library. Prior to a Wednesday afternoon practice a friend of mine and I witnessed a female camper drop and squat at the edge of the Ala Wai next to one of the date palms. Seriously, no shame and no paper either. Our initial disbelief was followed by a brief discussion on whether this was a #1 or #2. Like I said no paper. I have a used paddle that I can donate to the Roosevelt kids. PM me if you are a Lokahi rep.
