towing bridle for OC-6

I am looking top buy or build a towing bridle for towing an OC-6. In Hawaii they use some prefab towing bridle that they have to have on the escort/official boats. Does anybody have information where to buy these bridles. or how to make your own? thanks

I've just used pretty standard dock lines. Relatively soft hand so they don't scratch things up, can be found in many lengths with a pre-spliced eye or custom made by splicing an eye yourself (which is really not too hard). Only had reason to tow an OC-6 once and it was a very flat day (even for a lake), but ran one line from out at the ama and the other around the front wae wa'a to a single tow line, probably did two bowlines there to join them but I don't really remember. Worked well except for the boat wake tossing the canoe around a little bit (it was a big boat).

Fishhead. Your new bridal and tow line should arrive to you tomorrow (Sat).

Its exactly as I use here in Hawaii. We have towed a 6 man canoe for many miles upwind in 2' chop @ 5 - 10 knots with no problems. We usually have two steersmen sit in 5/6 seats while towing, seat six pokes right and seat 5 pokes left as needed. Good luck.
