Better than bike inner tube tire is car inner tube. Thicker rubber. Then cut into thin strips.
Put a strip of rubber between wood block on vaa and iato. Also between wood bock on ama and iato so that it gets better grip and doesn't slid. Also protects the wood.
Then just pull tight and wrap around and around. Depending on length of strips you can cross in and out of risers or can use one strip for inside and for outside.

Yep ! Same principles for V1 V3 or V6.
I like to use bike tube for V1.
For V3 and V6 better use thicker rubber, especialy in the ocean.
I'im lucky, I have a souce of excavator/bulldozer's inner tubes.
I think it's better to use two strips of rubber on each riser : one on the left side of the hull, another on the right side. That way, if you have to insert wood blocks later, you won't have to unrig everything.
