HOW TO MAKE SIMPLE AND CHEAP MOORINGS ??? We are looking for the best way to layout our marathon course.. Use concrete blocks ?? Any other way ? It is outside thereef in the deep. We dont want to leave them there. Take out after races. And whats a good and easy solution for the sprints ?

We've used water patrol (jetski's/boats) as turn buoy's in the past for deep waters where there weren't fixed buoy's.

We also use the jet ski safety as our outside buoy for our races. It seems to work good for a couple reasons. People sometimes are more sportsmanlike when someone is watching them turn. Also in our case we have our best water patrol guys in the most remote part of the course till the last boat makes the turn for home.
