Hi there-
I'm saving up for my first OC1 and would like to know if there are any guys or gals out there with a couple of OC1 canoes that would be willing to meet up and teach me the ropes and let me use a boat until I get mine. I'm in shape, have plenty of ocean experience and learn fast, so I could be in shape as a paddle buddy fairly quickly. I'm in San Diego, Pacific Beach area.
Also, if you don't have an extra canoe but paddle out from the Bahia or anywhere on the bay and would be willing to let me try out your canoe for a few minutes before or after your your paddle, I would be stoked! I want to try out as many models as I can before buying one but I'm having trouble finding people willing to do demos and I missed the last big one locally. If you have any suggestions for how to try out as many boats as possible, let me know please.

There's a bunch of us that launch out of the Bahia on Saturday mornings at around 8AM if you're able to find a canoe to use.
