Hawai'i Canoe and Kayak Team will be hosting our 2nd Paddling Excellence Clinic on Saturday, April 9th, 2011 1PM.
This clinic will be focusing on OC-1 and Surfskis - ocean paddling techniques, training and racing, and essential information on preparations and technique pertaining to the Moloka'i Solo, Moloka'i Relay or Surfski crossing races that are quickly approaching.
Learn about race mentality, diet, and refueling as well as technique tips from the best in the world.
On hand will be 2010 Moloka'i to O'ahu OC-1 Ka'iwi Channel Relay winner, Jimmy Austin, United States Nationals team members, Pat and Ryan Dolan, United States Nationals sprint men's team coach, Guy Wilding, and former Olympic sprint kayaker Shelley Oates-Wilding who has also place first in over eight Na Wahine o ke Kai women's Moloka'i channel crossings.

It's too bad this is same day as Puakea Foundation event at He'eia. Both events good for the community.
