Just bought a used Pegasus and am not sure if I should just transport upside down on the truck surf racks or if I should invest in the cradles. I hear mixed advice, some say cradles, some say no cradles. We have a Nissan Frontier that has racks with surfboard pads.
Any advice?

Just get a thule rack for the back and good pads and carry it upside down. Kai doesn't like cradles for his boats because it puts pressure on the hull in a consistent spot.

Agreed. I carry my Aukahi on pads upside down.
A couple buddies of mine started with racks then moved to pads because the canoe was shifting around in the cradles.
