Talk about fast service: Yesterday, I took an old damaged short surfski over to John Martin in Kaneohe to be repaired and he called me back this afternoon to say it was fixed and ready for pick up. Can't beat that kind of service, especially if you're racing and have to train.
ps: although he's selling his shop, he's still doing repairs, so if you own any of his classic canoes or any other make, now is the time to get it rehab with new cables and parts or do extensive repairs like I had done.
