Scorpius XM

I recently bought a Scorpius XM in October and it's a great boat. I've been paddling it for the last month and it runs fast. It catches even small swells so easily and takes off well. I would recommend this boat to anyone. Although I haven't paddled a Pueo, I'm sold on Kai's boats. In addition, Kai and his dad give great customer service!

I recently demoed an xm and LOVED it, and would love to demo the new xs before biting the bullet. unfortunately no rep for kai waa on big island right now. but also give kudos to Tom for awesome service on the phone and great info on the boats. definitely looking to place an order for a new kai waa soon!

i recently demoed the scorpius xs, and liked it. i trial a pueo sometime in the next few weeks, so i can make a solid comparison before i drop over 4 grand on a new boat. im 6'2, 165 lbs, and could move the scorpius easily. the only issue i had with it was the demo seat, which was cut short to make it adjustable, which exposed about 1.5 feet of open cockpit. a new scorpius is around 4200, 4350 with shipping to oahu, and a 4-6 month waiting list. a pueo is around 4400 before tax, and a 10 month waiting list.

Wow, did I make the right move last July.

Bought my Scorpius XM new for $3500 on US East Coast.

Yea, Yankee, I got one too and love it....but OURS are China made (mass produced)....not hand made. Thus the difference in price.

Hmmm, all other things being equal, which goes faster, the handmade or the mass produced?

Is there a 30% difference?

I'm very happy with my Scorpius XM, only wish I'd bought it earlier.

Momona, interesting subject koacanoe. Being of the Makule generation we battle that affliction daily. While you are waiting on Bai Kartlett's next move, might I suggest when at Rainbows, gravy on da rice only. Seasons Greetings bully! Kenny

Eh! Cuz? Gravy only on the rice? But I like em all ovah. But who am I to talk? Maybe if I follow your suggestion, I can trim down and look as good as you, so I can paddle one xs like you get on your truck? Have a merry one.

Eh koacanoe. I am living proof that no need slim fast, liposuction or gotta eat bird seed and legumes. I paddle an XS ( which I absolutely love ) because," gravy only on the rice" with my boneless chicken. We go rainbows. My treat.
