Solo

As I watch the forecast unfold on windguru I'm wondering how many people will chance a rudderless in this year's race. Will we see the first V-1 crossing in the modern paddling era? Is young boy Will going to make a run?

Windguru is wrong and I will refuse to believe anything it says until after April 17th.

You're right Keizo. Windfinder shows winds of 1mph out of the SW gusting to 1mph. So depending on how you look at it windguru is off by 100-300%

I'm fairly certain that Wind Guru has always over estimated the winds for the solo. I don't think I've ever done a crossing and thought "wow, that was a lot windier than I thought it would be."

I have a feeling that there is a V-1 sitting on the putting green at Kaluakoi at this moment. Just waiting for that brave soul to pick it up.
