stolen kanu

Last night some worthless a**hole decided to steal my kanu off my dock in Hawaii Kai! It was a white and orange Alenuihaha. Any help finding her would be greatly appreciated. This was the 2nd kanu stolen from this area in the last 24hours. Thanks

Was it rigged? No can paddle without ama, iako. Unbelievable.

Who else had their canoe stolen? Can we get a description so the paddling community can keep an eye out for it.

wasn't rigged but everything except paddles was on the lanai.

not sure, my neighbor said it was an older red kanu taken about 2AM on the 27th. I'll check at the office and see if there is any more information.

got some balls to rig up a boat on your lanai and paddle off with it! saw a red deck/wht hull kinda old bussup oc-1 by the hui-nalu halau right by the water under the tree in front the bridge. right in front of where they store the canoes on the grass. kept on looking at it and thought it was strange that the canoe was there and not up on the grass, jus figured one the hui-nalu paddlers left it there while they practiced. don't know if that's the canoe you're talking about but might be worth it to check. yes' i know dorothy and will keep and eye out for her boat. good-luck.

http://honolulu.craigslist.org/oah/boa/2329663392.html. Is this her boat?

Inspecting the photo on Craig's list ... how do you rig the ama for that OC-1 on the right side?

Suspicious ...

That craigslist photo is flipped.

they're similar, but not the same. look at the orange trim around the cockpit. it's only there on one of the boats.

Thanks for finding this unfortunately it's not D's kanu...her paint job is different, and the Detective who's handling the investigation knows both the seller and the owner. Thanks again for all the help and support. Stupid of me...I'm sure many of you know the investigator it's Lance Anderson think he paddles with Kailua...any info can go to him too. Thanks

epfitch440..... glad that the boy is happy getting his canoe back. bummed that it was filled with water, hope that it wasn't because the a-hole thief/thieves damaged it. i'm guessing they had a car by hui-nalu and loaded d's boat there since the kid's boat was right by the halau on the bank, but abandoned his when they realized it was taking on water. jus gotta cross our fingers and hope the coconut-wireless helps in getting dorothy's boat back. take you up on that beer offer when her boat is found. jus ONE though, sure as hell not 17! won't be able to paddle back out under the bridge, lol. good-luck and take care and will continue to keep eyes/ears open for the boat.

Please keep your eyes open for my Thule Xsporter 422XT racks that were stolen today in Hawaii Kai. The only thing different about them is that one side is stuck, so it does not go up and down.

thats bad mana. if the person decides to take your canoe out for a spin, i hope he snaps his paddle in the open ocean

Hmm... what kind of mana is it when you wish on someone to snap a paddle in the open ocean ?
