I have the 'faahoro' (progressive bend/24 x 47.5 cm)) blade for a couple of years and I love it! Awesome design and it provides a very good rithym.
After a few days paddling straight with it, I like to swap for a timber one to relax a little bit my shoulders and elbows. Carbon can be a little bit too stiff...In saying that, the new bamboo series might be fantastic due to the added flexibility.
Please be aware of the different options for both shaft & blade.

Maybe after the French get into more wars like we do ...Ivory Coast...Libya ..and start blowing their national treasuries the dollar to Franc (Euro) will get better and maybe the paddle's costs be will more in line with the home grown.

i like the all viper carbon 9inch paddle downwind, headwind though you have to apply extra effort to get it forward, i got very sore shoulders after jumping straight from my all wood, but i really enoyed the flow in the 6man.
i like a lot broad reach too, but more for v1 for its super crisp catch and weight.
viper, broadreach, tai and huahine rame have excellent craftsman ship. viper vaa looks very gucci wit the aluminium in the sandwich.

A Rep from Viper Va'a will be in the Southern CA on the Week of May 8th. He said he may have some paddles if anyone one to see/demo them.
