Who is going to Win? Not Indar
What you guys thing the top Ten will be? Not Indar
Winds look good, hows the tide looking? Not good for Indar
What does everyone think about the line, do you take a straight shot to Diamond Head or do you cut in sooner? Take any line except Indar's

If there is one thing we have learned form recent history, none of the questions asked by Indar matter in the race...only compression pants matter.

I'll be selling rear view mirrows for canoes so you can see what line Indar's taking.

I'll most likely be wearing 2 ......x........U compression clothing for the race. I was told by my gf that I need to wear the compression underware cause my muscle was losing blood half way through our workouts. So I bought her a compression scarf.

although zephyrrider's response was repetitive and somewhat predictable, i found it very amusing.

Old guys rule...at least in their own divisions. Imua Bob and Harold. Good luck and God speed !

-Manny and Jimmy
-The usual (unless some young guns take a spooky course).....
-Tide is gonna be on the drop or at slack during the start of the race. Soon after it will be rising the rest of the day (It's a full moon so the tide will be changing hard).
-I'd say straight line to higher north. Winds and tide will be pushing you south....you take the sleigh ride too far south from the start....you bust your ass later paddling back up and WILL lose ground...I wouldn't wanna be those guys. :)

But as the name implies...should you really be taking my advice. ;)

Safe journey everyone, looks like it is gonna be a blast!

rumor has it Indar has Danny Ching as his partner- I wouldn't count him out just yet.

#9 Thu, 05/03/2012 - 6:58pm

I heard Jimmy and Danny almost got in a fight over being his partner. They settled and Jimmy took the Midweek interview and Danny is taking home the 1st place now.

I don't know what my line statagy will be now though.

enjoyed info on the Kauai World Challenge Kileki. Regarding the Molorelay, what distance in seperation between first and second (6 minutes) equate to? How fast are the canoes moving?

Rumor has it that Indar broke his ama at the start and was down for 15-20 minutes and came back from dead last. Wow. For that to happen and still finish in the top 15 is amazing. If he wasn't stalled for that long he would've beat Kea and Tapa. Impressive. No way he cheated. No way....

#17 Fri, 05/11/2012 - 5:14pm

Kua was Indar's partner. Kua was doing well on the first change and was t-boned by another boat. To suggest there was some sort of cheating on their part is foolish at best, and unfairly diminishes Kua's impressive effort.

Fire away, but stand back.
