aloha oe Bob

i did not know Haiku Bob from Maui...but I know him ..he is me and anyone else who paddles.:it is amazing how many people I have known who have died doing what they loved....

Quietly his paddle entered the water,,,no splash.. no sound.

Quietly his paddle entered the water with wonderment all around.

The seats of his canoe filled with ohana past

all on this journey which will be his last

Blue waters under the canoe become light

as his canoe paddles out of sight.

....Hele on brother.

I was at the World Sprints when this happened and the message we got from his crew and the president of the IVF is that this is the way he would have wanted it to happen. There was a spectacular sense of respect and love for him from all. He went doing what he loved and will truly be missed.
