The Big Island Challenge is this saturday April 14th,
Pre-registration is open.
As of today we only have one crew registered.
We need crews to pre-register so we know how much lunch to provide.
Lunch will be provided by
You don't need to pay to pre-register, you can pay on race day.
Early registrtion is $25 per paddler, race day is $30
Non-HIPA/USACK members + $10

This is a 30-mile relay race
Start: Puako Boat Ramp
Finish: Honokohau inside point marker
Entry Fee - $30.00 per paddler (race day)
Non HIPA/USACK member +$10
The Categories
OC-1 Men / Women / Mixed (2 person teams)
OC-2 Men / Women / Mixed (4 person teams)
OC-3 Men / Women / Mixed (6 person teams)
The Divisions
Under 50 / 50 and over
(Teams race in the age group of the youngest paddlers)
The Times
Registration 6:30 am / Race Start 7am Solo paddlers, women and 60+
7:30 Everyone else
The Rules
This is an H.I.P.A. sanctioned race and ALL H.I.P.A. race rules will apply.
Escort Boat required for all teams - first change; 10 min after start.
Riding of escort boat wakes is prohibited – THIS IS CHEATING.
Escort boats MUST be considerate and aware of other teams.
Catered Lunch and Awards will be held Post-Race at the H.I.PA. Halau at Honokohau Harbor.
There are no marine watches or warnings in the forecast for race day
