Another downwind video, what else. After a long, hot, windless summer, the winter winds are finally here. Just five more days to Another Dam Race, maybe we'll luck out and get some conditions like this.

Could you please post a video of Danny paddling the extended footwell Scorpius?

captainextendo, I presume you're referring to Danny Ching? He doesn't paddle a Scorpius, he paddles a Pueo and is the Southern Californian rep so I don't think there'll be any video of him paddling a Scorpius!

captainextendo may be a bit confused as he may have seen Danny on laurens pink Pegasus on Maui. Danny loves the extended XM too but its all for fun.

This is now clarified. ;-)

He Jibofo.. I'm sure you have made that run lots on your other canoes' how did you like the Storm?

I've paddled the Storm about a dozen times. First off, its crazy light. Every other canoe feels like a lead sled once you've picked up a Storm. Upwind its faster than a Pegasus or XS. Downwind I think I'm too light (142lbs) for it, I jump bump to bump better on a Pegasus or XS (or maybe I just need more time on it). Ama rides super light which I like but it seems harder to control than the ama on a Pegasus or XS. There's a point when the ama is up where its hard to bring it back down.
So for right now I would say I prefer the Pegasus/XS. We'll see if more time on it changes my mind.
