Tahiti's premier Surfski Race; the Mara'amu (named after the local trade wind) is a glorious inter-island downwind paddle from Tahaa to Bora Bora. Part of the World OceanPaddler Series, it's a must do for the downwind enthusiast.

without a doubt that was your best video yet for two reasons.
Hiro was in there and conditions looked epic. helo shots were very cool.

Most would know of Lewis Loughlin from v'aa, but he also won Molokai twice. What a cracker battle Dean and he had as they have in many races before.. 7 secs at he end, gees.

I'm confident it ( the video) will bring many many people to the race next year Hiro, for the awesome Polynesian experience, local hospitality and fantastic race conditions,and then there is the passionate Sebastian Mosole (race organizer), seems there is a perfect formula there.

Any chance you could maybe put up a couple longer, single scenes on your website or something ? Would be cool to see a full, continuous minute or whatever of Dean in the bumps for example.

3rd in the race was Mihimana Ahmin, captain of Paddling Connection, watch for them in Hawaiki Nui this year they just set a course record for 50km downwind last weekend - Tautira to Mahina, see how they compare to Shell and EDT...
