The first Unlimited Design Canoe from IHE Canoes the "Wave Blade 6" will be blessed this Sunday Morning 10am @ Hilo, Bayfront. The canoe will be named "Ho'omau".
IHE Canoes and Fluid Paddles mulled over the idea of doing a project together and this is the result of our mulling. It was a pleasure to be involved in this experience. And yes, more fun is on the way.

Mike Giblin is building an unlimited designed canoe here on Maui for the men of Hawaiian Canoe Club to race in the Olamau race in March. http://www.hawaiiancanoeclub.org/programs/olamau</http://www.hawaiiancanoeclub.org/programs/olamau>

Dodgie that is freakin cool man. Nice kanu. Is the one in the pictures molded? Or was that your original? Very clean lookin with lots of rocker. What kind of flat water speeds are you averaging?

Cheers Gaucho, This one was from a mould, but was the first, but weighing in way too heavy as there was some issues with the infusion. so a heap of bog to finish her off. We are putting a new one on the water very soon. Should be around the 100kg mark which is where we want to be. Once this new one is all go we will be able to do some good trials. Primarily she is designed for ocean racing but i'm confidant she will have great flat water speed as well due to some magic numbers. (ha) So will keep you posted. Chur

Bit of a vid too. Just happened to be in the right place, for the camera, wrong place for the huge ship coming across our line. Ha

It appears to hold a glide a little longer than the canoes next to it. It that true?

Hey Healthy Earth, to be honest, this was her third float and so we still haven't had a good chance to test her in all conditions with a Mahi Mahi side by side. Everything so far indicates that she has good run in the flat. We've done some reasonable times considering one still needs to loss some weight. She surges nicely on little bumps, seems to float over them nicely. Will give more feed back as it comes. All in all pretty stoked and excited. Bring on some chunky ocean!

Very nice boat. Best of luck with the R&D. Bring it to Olamau it might do alright on the Big Island haha!

Serious Question ... WHY not set up a simple website along with facebook ? Is that so hard ???
Not everyone wants to submit to facebook ... Shoots, at least leave it open for all ... Whats the harm in that ?

Agree with Onno, if you want us all to spread the news then make it available to all....
#25 Mon, 03/11/2013 - 9:48am
You're assuming everyone has Internet. To truly make the information available to all he would need to send through mail a catalog.
To be more helpful I will say this. Try clicking the link, I don't believe you need an account to see his page. I tried it on my phone and I didn't log in or get automatically logged in and I was able to see page.
Did you try clicking on the link that weh kindly posted?
