The difference between the Gull Winged boats and these Nelos is that the Nelo will not remain upright w/o the floats. They will immediately tip over when placed in the water. So you got to paddle them fast to keep them upright like a bicycle. Since they now manufacture surf skis, I wouldn't be surprised if Nelo came out with their own OC-1 and V-1 like the Italians have? Too bad Nelo hasn't sent one out here to Hawaii for beta testing? Guarantee it won't just be used in the Ala Wai. You can bet that it would be doing quite a few Hawaii Kai runs, just like in the old days with high aspect rudder and surfing on its side. Still get some crazy old K-1 paddlers around who would love to test the buggah out in the ocean.
